Museums demonstrate cultural values in their displays of objects as well as educational opportunities for both casual visitors and serious scholarship. This course enlists Rome’s institutions to illustrate histories and policies of collecting, the preservation of cultural heritage in eras of war and peace, and most importantly, values that drive humankind to protect objects of historical and spiritual significance.
