NU - 770 Emergency Nurse Practitioner ATLS/ProceduresCredits: 2
This course provides hands on, interactive opportunities to establish competencies in advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and invasive procedures commonly encountered in emergency nurse practitioner practice. Students will be prepared to perform these skills and procedures under the supervision of a qualified mentor during specialty clinical courses. Emphasis is placed on the underlying pathophysiologic processes that dictate procedural need, decision making for referral, and follow up management. Students will complete training and certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). 30 hours didactic/lab workshop
