NU - 731 Administrative Practicum II

Credits: 4

This is the second of a two-course sequence that synthesizes content from nursing and business theoretical foundations into analyzing and resolving healthcare management challenges. Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives are examined, with consideration of the perspectives of various stakeholders involved in operational and strategic decision-making. Competencies for organizational diagnosis, operations analysis, budgeting, and strategic decision making are gained through experiential learning in a practicum environment. Students apply advanced leadership strategies with a focus on organizational and system functioning to begin to develop their personal leadership style. Clinical Practicum Hours: 225. Course fee.
