A survey of organized crime in the United States and around the world. The course will explore numerous aspects of organized crime, including history, types, investigation and prosecution, and impact on society. Trends for the 21st Century in organized crime will be examined and evaluated. Of particular interest will be emerging transnational organized criminal groups and the impact of technology on organized crime.
