Focuses on the development of the United States during the modern era and its relationshiop to the world from the late 19th century through the present. Students will develop historical thinking and writing skills by examining immigration, imperialism, the changing nature of a captialist economy, global wars and conflicts, and cultural movements and by engaging with primary and secondary sources.
