HI - 314W Civil War America

Credits: 3

A course which closely examines American history between 1848 and 1877. Its primary objective is to explain why a sectional conflict between the North and the South resulted in secession and Civil War in 1861. We will examine the course of the war as well as the process of political, economic, and social reconstruction in the American South. 

General Education: Satisfies Lens 3: Policies & Systems and one RWI requirement.
