MA - 453 Senior Coordinating Seminar

A capstone experience for the mathematics major. The course focuses on the philosophical meaning of mathematics, an understanding of mathematical maturity, and an introduction to the methods of mathematics research. Over the course of the semester, students explore a survey of interesting open-ended problems as a hands-on review of the foundational topics from the undergraduate curriculum. Simultaneously, students complete a research project, culminating in a written report and oral presentation.
