PH - 201 General Physics I: Mechanics and Heat

First of a two-semester sequence of calculus-based physics, covering topics including kinematics, Newton’s Laws of motion, forces in nature, work and energy, impulse and momentum, conservation laws, rotational motion, oscillations, fluid mechanics, kinetic theory of gases, and thermodynamics, with an emphasis on problem solving. Lecture 4 hours, lab 3 hours. Not open to students who have taken PH-203. Course fee.

Prerequisite(s): MA 122
Co-requisite: Must register for PH-201L
