Examines the constitutional and practical roles that Congress and the presidency play both as separate pollitical institutions and as members of the power sharing arrangement of the American Federal government. Taking both an historical and contemporary view of executive-legislative relations, students identify and analyze how the features of this relationship have evolved in the past and how they are likely to develop in the future.
