TR - 143 Introduction to Theatre Technology

An introduction to the backstage crafts of theatre production. Through lectures and hands-on labs, student will gain experience in backstage and shop safety, production techniques, and technical theatre terminology. The semester is divided equally between the scene shop and the costume shop. The course includes a 2-hour weekly lab and an usher assignment, which will be assigned on the first day of class.
