Focuses on the development and application of historical methods, thinking, and skills centered on a local or regional topic. Introduces students to the historical discipline, including identifying and using primary and secondary sources, engaging with multiple perspectives, and applying historical knowledge to think about contemporary issues. Includes completion of a public history project rooted in the students’ lived environment.
