TH - 312 2nd Vatican Council

An exploration of the Catholic Church’s mission in the modern world, examining how philosophical and cultural assumptions of modernity challenge and reshape Catholic beliefs and practices. With a focus on the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), students will analyze its key texts, debates, and global impact on liturgy, laity, politics, religious liberty, and interfaith relations.

General Education:  Satisfies Catholicism in Dialogue.
