An introduction to major issues in the global economy. Topics include uneven economic growth, poverty and income distribution, discrimination, immigration, globalization, outsourcing and offshoring, global warming and alternative energy, international trade, foreign exchange systems, global debt, and regional economic integration with emphasis on the European Monetary Union and the challenges of the Euro.
