DA - 107 Hip-Hop Dance I

Credits: 1.5

Introduces the characteristics of Hip-Hop dance including its foundational techniques of bouncing, rocking, and grooving. Within these movement practices, students will develop body awareness, building strength, coordination, and stamina. The methodology in the course includes dancing,in-class engagement, discussions, written assignments, required readings, and choreographic viewings. Repeatable for credit up to four times. Lecture 3 hours, lab 2.5 hours.
