Introduces major themes in Catholic fundamental theology, such as theological anthropology and the human being’s natural desire for the supernatural; the relationship between Catholicism and other world religions; and the relationship between Catholicism and contemporary arguments against the existence of God. The relationship between faith and reason, as well as science and religion, will also be explored.
This course prepares the way for Honors Theology II, which will cover doctrinal contents of the Catholic faith and introduce the thought and life of St. Francis DeSales.
