AM - 221 Aerodynamics

Credits: 3

This course provides an in-depth analysis of the fundamental principles of aerodynamics as they apply to fixed-wing aircraft. Students will move beyond the basic four forces to analyze aircraft performance, stability, and control. Topics include airfoil design and selection, the drag curve, high- and low-speed flight characteristics, maneuvering flight, and the aerodynamic factors influencing aircraft performance.
