AM - 227 Aviation Safety

This course provides a comprehensive analysis of the principles and practices of modern aviation safety. Moving beyond simple accident investigation, this course focuses on the design, implementation, and management of proactive Safety Management Systems (SMS). Students will analyze the four pillars of SMS: Safety Policy, Safety Risk Management (SRM), Safety Assurance (SA), and Safety Promotion. The course uses NTSB accident reports and industry case studies to analyze safety failures and build effective safety cultures.
