Examines the history, craft, and impact of film directing through weekly screenings, readings, and discussions. The goal is to explore how specific directors employ the tools, workflow, personnel, and craft of cinema for the purpose of visual storytelling. Students will also learn about directorial techniques and styles that help directors develop a unique voice & vision as filmmakers and/or auteurs.
