NU - 634 Foundations of Assessment and Diagnosis in Psychiatry

This course provides students with the theoretical foundation to develop advanced competencies in psychiatry.  The focus is on assessment, diagnosis, and case formulation of mental illness for individuals across the life span. Simulated clinical experiences allow students to practice conducting psychiatric diagnostic interviews, formulating differential diagnoses, performing medication management, and creating comprehensive case formulations.
