This track provides the mathematics courses needed for secondary certification in the teaching of mathematics. Students in this track will complete their Bachelor of Mathematics - Secondary Education and are then eligible to pursue Pennsylvania Teacher certification through a 4+1 program in which students will attain secondary certification in Mathematics as well as an M.Ed. degree upon completion.

Mathematics Core
These courses are taken by students in all tracks of the mathematics major.
Secondary Education Track
M.Ed. Program
Students in the Secondary Education track should apply to the M.Ed. (4+1) Program during their fourth and final year of undergraduate study. Admission requirements for the Graduate M.Ed. Phase are:
- Satisfactory completion of the following five education courses during the undergraduate phase:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0; and
- Passing score on PRAXIS test.
