NU - 635 Psychopharmacology

Building upon the student’s advanced knowledge of therapeutic uses of pharmacological agents in primary and tertiary care settings, this course provides an overview of the neuroscientific basis and practical applications of psychopharmacology. Emphasis is placed on the synthesis of concepts of neurobiology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenetics of psychotropic medication used in the treatment of psychiatric diagnoses and conditions.

Prerequisite: NU 628  or equivalent
