NU - 742 Assessment and Diagnosis in Psychiatry

Credits: 6

This course provides students with the theoretical foundation and clinical experience to develop advanced competencies in psychiatry. The focus is on assessment, diagnosis, and case formulation of mental illness for individuals across the lifespan. Precepted clinical experiences allow students to practice conducting psychiatric diagnostic interviews, formulating differential diagnoses, performing medication management, and creating comprehensive case formulations.
