Thermodynamics and kinetics. Extensive coverage of the laws of thermodynamics and their application to chemical systems. Thermodynamics is applied to chemical systems for the study of rate laws and chemical equilibria. Properties of gases are explored. Appropriate for biochemistry majors. Lecture 4 hours, lab 3 hours. Prerequisite(s): CH 101 CH 102 MA 121 MA 122 PH 201 and PH 202. Must register for CH-351L.
