BI - 267 Introduction to Neuroscience

Credits: 3

An introduction to the field of neuroscience. Students will learn the structure and function of fundamental components of the nervous system, as well as understand the physiology associated with action potentials and synaptic transmission. The course will also describe how the nervous system facilitates the production of complex behaviors and the reception and integration of external stimuli via sensory organs. Course fee.

Prerequisite(s): BI 151  and BI 152
