SP - 251 Latinos in the US

Cross-listed with WC 151 . Introduces students to cultural diversity, histories and experiences of Latinos in the United States through contemporary texts, literature, folklore, music, dance, and film. The course will examine a number of topics and issues that are key to understanding eon temporary Latinos, e.g., immigration, assimilation, language, education, employment, contributions, and cultural resistance. This course requires off-campus activities. Dictated in English. Course fee.
