The Mathematics Program
All degree candidates are required to complete the eleven core courses:

Actuarial science is the application of mathematics and statistics to the study of risk management. This program track in the mathematics major is designed to prepare students for the first two exams offered by the Society of Actuaries/ Casualty Actuarial Society. In addition to the eleven core courses in the mathematics major listed above, degree candidates in this program track are required to complete one of the following:
