Quantum mechanics. Modern quantum theory is explored and applied to spectroscopic techniques, a brief study of group theory is included. Molecular structure is discussed from a quantum theory viewpoint. Phase equilibria and electrochemical cells are discussed. Completion of CH 351 is suggested. Lecture 4 hours, lab 3 hours. Prerequisite(s): CH 101 CH 102 MA 121 MA 122 and PH 201. Must register for CH-352L.
